Mr First: Prof Mayank

Today is 9th of November, a important day for management fraternity and citizens of Banyan tree. It's the birthday of legend Prof Mayank Dhaolakiya. Let's pay a tribute to him by remembering this fantastic  personality.  He was a very nice, co-operative, visionery and wonderful person.

He was known as 'Mr First'. There's a great element of logic in it. He stood first in B Com at The M S University. Then, he pursued PGDBA from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. He again stood first in Finance stream. He passed ICWA and stood first and won the President's medal.

Let's cherish the memory and salute the spirit.

Lovely, Go Ahead !

He was the dean of Faculty of Management Studies at The M S University of Baroda, while I was pursuing my MBA. We students have gone to him with various proposals, initiatives and ideas. He had always welcomed and appreciated with smile. He had continuously motivated us to do such things. He had always advised us on those points, what additional care can be taken. His inputs have been always valuable. He has always emphasize on ‘how to learn’ and ‘how to apply’. His message is very relevant even after a decade. He always used one sentence for us ‘Lovely, Go ahead!’. It became his synonym for us.  So, there can’t be better post rather than ‘Lovely Go Ahead’ as a first post of the blog.
